Nepal Association of Tour Operators (NATO) is a professional association, which represents the tour operators of the country. It is one of the rapidly emerging tourism related associations in the country, which has already made its separate identity in the league.
The membership list of the association has reached to 38 since its inception in 1998 with just 8 members. NATO’s members list includes top names in travel trade industry and represents entire spectrum of vacation package and tours available today in Nepal.

Criteria for joining Nepal Association of Tour Operators:
- The domestic NATO members must have the yearly transaction not less than USD 30,000.
- The members must be registered at the Value Added Tax (VAT) and Tourism Service Fee (TSF) offices.
- The domestic travel agents/tour operators must pay Rs 10,000 as entrance fee and Rs. 10,000 as membership fee. But the annual membership renewal fee is Rs. 10,000 only.
- The international travel agents/ tour operators must pay USD 100 per annum.
- The membership form is available at NATO Secretariat.
